Union County, Iowa

Union County is located in south central Iowa. It is named for the Union, as a symbol of trying to hold together a fractured nation prior to the Civil War.
The seat and the largest city are both Creston.
Main highways through the county include US-34, US-169 and IA-25.
The county borders Adair, Madison, Clarke, Ringgold and Adams counties.
